Watch
Materials: The Weather Research Center site, the means to record the temperature and precipitation for a month. Activity: You can follow the climate for your home town. Record the temperature and rainfall for your town each day at a certain time. At the end of the month, see if your records match the recorded climate. Use The Weather Research Center or World Climate for climate information to compare with your information. Older students can choose to record the climate in any city in the United
States. You can use this site and the links listed above to help you watch your city.
Your Favorite Weather Materials: Pen or pencil, paper, your imagination Activity: Think about the weather. What kind of weather do you
like? In what climate would you find that weather in? Where do you
find that kind of climate and why? Write down your answers to these questions
in complete sentences. Explain why you like the weather you chose, and
what you'd do if you moved to a climate with your favorite weather.
