Your Dad - Part Two

You told your dad that it was likely to rain this afternoon. So your family packed up their camping gear and started home. On your way out of George Washington National Park, the sky grew dark and it began to rain very hard. Good job!

The clouds you saw were cumulonimbus clouds, or thunderstorm clouds. These tall and wide clouds can produce some violent thunderstorms. It's a good thing your family left the forest while you were still dry!
