Lightning safety is a very serious matter. In the United States, between 75 to 100 Americans are hit and killed each year by lightning. That means more people are killed by lightning in the U.S. than tornadoes! But with a little knowledge, you can be safe when lightning is around. 

Let's test your lightning safety knowledge. Smiling Bob has been caught outdoors when a thunderstorm suddenly forms overhead. He needs to find a safe place for protection from lightning. In the picture below, where will Bob be the safest? Click on the location to see if you're right.
