"The weather has been nuts in our area lately, and that's news. I've talked to some meteorologists and they say it's something called El Niño. I want you to get me the story on this El Niño!   

"Remember your training for this assignment. A good story covers the major questions: Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How. Ask questions about El Niño, like "Where is El Niño?". Do your research, stick to the facts and find out what is El Niño.   

"If El Niño turns out to be a person, get an interview with him! But be careful -- anyone who can mess up weather patterns has to be a big guy.

It's a big assignment, but you know where you can get some help. You have your friend Davis to help you. He works in a library, and can e-mail you great information on whatever topic you need research on. With him on your side, you know you can write a great story on El Niño!
