The
Most Ferocious Storm
The residents of Fort Smith,
Arkansas saw a terrible sight on April 22, 1996. Their town stood in the
path of a terrible, twisting whirlwind. The storm caused terrible damage
in the town.
Each year, mother nature creates tornadoes that rip across
the U.S. These storms damage homes, destroy crops, and injure and
kill people. Scientists continue trying to make sense of the phenomenon
we call a tornado.
Where do these spinning winds originate? What powers
them? And how can we protect ourselves? We're going to take you inside
the storms that create tornadoes and let you answer these questions and
more!
