When you get done with any meal, you get to clear away the dishes, wash the pots and pans, and sit and think about the meal you just ate. The Activities page is our way of letting you digest what you've learned about thunderstorms, giving you a chance to review the lesson.

ecord the Recipe
This one's self-explanatory: Go through Thunderstorms: A Recipe and write down the recipe for a thunderstorm. What ingredients are needed to make a thunderstorm? At what height in the atmosphere should it be chilled? What's going to mix your ingredients? How will you know when it's done? Think about your own questions about thunderstorms and try to answer them as your write out the recipe for a thunderstorm.

esign a New Recipe
We've mentioned a lot of topics in Thunderstorms: A Recipe that could earn their own lesson. Things such as Doppler radar, the atmosphere, and convection can be interesting subjects and explored more than we have here. So we're letting you add to our recipe.  We're letting you research these topics and write them up as a page to be added to Thunderstorms: A Recipe

Go back through our lesson and find a subject we mention but don't explore, like Doppler radar. After you have chosen your topic, do some research to find out information about it. You can look it up in the library, interview someone familiar with your topic, or look it up on the Internet.

After you've finished your research, design a web page about your topic in the style of Thunderstorms: A Recipe. If you have made a web site before or are skilled with HTML coding, ask your teacher about making a working page that you can post online. You may copy our titles and graphics so that your web page will match our lesson. If you're don't know how to make your own web page, then write down what your lesson page would contain. Write down what links you would have, any pictures you would include, and of course your research.

Remember, always talk with your teacher before you start one of these assignments. They may be able to help you, or they may have things to add or clarify the assignment.
